WIP Wed: My Attempt at Modern

Kaffee Fassett Paperweight fabric challenge: Make a 30 x 30" quilt using half Kaffe Fassett (KF) and have it ready by April. Well, I was inspired!

Sunday Stash: Kaffe Fassett Challenge, Some Fun Stuff

The group I hang with on f/b are having a Kaffe Fassett Challenge. Make a 36 x 36" quilt using KF Paperweight fabric, and half the quilt has to be the KF fabric. Well, I love black & cobalt!

So, here's what I'm going to be working with (camera phone, colors not showing what they really are). I got these from a GREAT shop in Portland called Bolt http://boltfabricboutique.com/

While shopping with my daughters in the "hip" Alberta neighborhood, I went to a food cart and had this from The Cheese Plate:

Delish, but RICH, let me tell you! We had a wonderful time, and now I need to get to designing!

WIP Wednesday~The Grey and the Green

My Niece requested a Grey & Green quilt, so here's what I've done so far:

Sunday Stash with Molli Sparkles!

I feel so lucky to be able to dabble in Molli's world! Yesterday, Portland Modern Quilt Guild had a sit and sew all day...*9-9 people* at Fabric Depot. Literally a football field of a fabric store. When you get tired of sewing, you shop. And shop I did!

I had a ton of fun, but only made it until 6:30...but all in all, a fun group! Cheers to a new year!
