Hello there! I'm Diana and I am a mother of two girls, Aubrey (now 20) and Shannon (now 16):
My other three loves, Boo, Friskie & Duke also keep me busy!
I love all kinds of projects, quilts, handbags, string bags, curtains, pillows. You name it...if I'm inspired, I'll give it a try. Here are a few projects that I've completed:
String Bah |
Anita's Quilt |
Shannon's Quilt |
Mug Rugs |
Mini Medallion |
Chicken Handbag |
I want to travel everywhere! Italy, Tahiti, Europe, Australia, you name it...even the South Pole (more to volunteer at the research base than to "vacation" really)
Thanks for stopping by...I hope to see you again!

Hi Diana! Wonderful projects. I especially like the chevron quilt. That green in there is lovely! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteMy niece wanted grey with a hint of green. I was not a fan at first...everything in Oregon is grey/green! But as I got into it, I liked it :) Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI like making a variety of things, too. I love the colors in your chevron quilt.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jasmine! It's what my niece wanted :)
DeleteI love your chevron quilt especially, and also the chicken bag. I was too late to sign up for the hop, it was full but have been having fun checking out some new blogs anyway.
ReplyDeleteMy sister is in the same boat Helen~didn't jump in early enough to get included this go around. There will be more opportunities I think :) Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteHi Diana. I have to admit that I am pretty much only a quilter; I tell people I don't sew anything practical! ha! I agree with wanting to travel the globe.
ReplyDeleteYvonne, I started as a "sewer" made my clothes, sewed clothes for my girls (when they would wear dresses!). I like to try new things, and quilting has helped me make things like pillows...more logically! I don't have enough people to make quilts for, so I try other things :)
Deletehi Diana, I wouldn't know how to make anything other than a quilt. I am trying my first handbag though it is slow going at the moment!
ReplyDeleteRuth, handbag patterns can be overwhelming! Practically architectural designs! My advice...read them through...if you get tired STOP! Saves on ripping :) Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteYour chevron quilt is so pretty. When I enlarged the picture I was able to really appreciate your fabric choices! Nice chicken bag! I have a friend who is on a chicken kick right now. She'd go gaga for that print!
ReplyDeleteEver since I tried stitch in the ditch machine binding, that is my go-to method too.
ReplyDeleteLovely meeting you! Shannon's quilt is beautiful!! I usually hand sew my binding - it gives me a little more time with the quilt before it's handed over to it's new owner :)
ReplyDeleteNice seeing your quilts! Great projects, thanks for sharing them!
ReplyDeleteI really love your chevron quilt! I am working on one right now for a crib set. Hopefully it turns out just as vibrant. I would love to hear more about your stitch in the ditch binding method...always up for new ways to do things!
ReplyDeleteAwesome projects, love them all, but the colors in Shannon's quilt really draws my eye, love them!!!
ReplyDeletehi!! I, too. love to travel and see and do new things! Maybe we will run across eachother somewhere! Love that purse you just made and your quilts as well!
ReplyDeleteXX! lori

Your mini medallion is adorable, Diana!
ReplyDeleteHi Diana. Your projects are lovely. I especially love your mini medallion. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThat was a quick intro compared to others :) Nice to meet you! Your projects are looking good and see good variety.
ReplyDeleteHi Diana, It's great to finally visit you on your blog. You've been so helpful on the New Blogger's Google Group. I love the diversity of your projects. It's always nice to meet a fellow cat lover. Have fun on the hop.
ReplyDeleteYour green and grey chevron quilt is lovely! Chicken purse - how cool is that?
ReplyDeleteI love all your mug rugs! They look so pretty sitting there! You mentioned bags! I am jealous. I have been nervous about starting a bag. I have done zippers but I am not sure I am ready for a bag!
ReplyDeleteHi from the other Diana in the blog hop! I'm like you in that I love to travel although I hadn't considered the South Pole until now. Luckily my husband also loves to travel so we tend to spend money on making great memories on lots of mini family vacations rather than Christmas and birthday gifts. I love your mini medallion quilt, especially that outer fabric.
ReplyDeleteHi Diana, nice to meet you! Like you, I would love to travel to a lot of different places. The South Pole would be a pretty neat spot! I read a book by someone who traveled though Chile and ended up there (to do research I think). I like the mug rugs! I've been meaning to make some, maybe I'll tackle that this weekend.
ReplyDeleteYour girls are adorable and I really like the "Shannon's Quilt".
ReplyDeleteSlightly late blog hop visit! Lovely quilts and I'm with you on the just wanting to get that quilt finished so I'd be very interested in your stitch in the ditch method of binding.
ReplyDeleteHi, nice to meet you. Some lovely quilts and bags there!
ReplyDeleteI am visiting from the blog hop. Hi, there!
ReplyDeleteHi Diana, Nice to meet you. You have some lovely makes, and I love your wish list of places to travel :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks like I'm in agreement with several other commenters. That pop of color in the chevron quilt is so fun!
