WIP & LET'S BEE SOCIAL: What it is and what it should be

This top, for my Aunt & Uncle, in celebration of their 40th Wedding Anniv is done. My "quilt models" weren't available, so I tried to hang this in my sewing room. It doesn't really work well to display my quilt for documentation purposes, but I love how it looks like stained glass! Makes me happy...so happy that I made this the background on my cellphone! :)
Here are the blocks pre-assembly:
Thanks for stopping by! Happy Wednesday!

  2. Love the stained-glass effect, and it's also lovely without the light behind it.

  3. Beautiful - the stained glass effect can even work on a finished quilt held up to strong sunlight. It's fun to see the beauty of your work from other angles! Congrats on getting the top pieced!

  8. The stained glass look makes me think I'd love to make some patchwork curtains! Colours in this are just gorgeous and the bento box design is perfect for them.

  12. It looks gorgeous against the window light. I reckon forget the quilt, back it with some muslim or something really thin, and turn it into curtains instead! Sorry Aunt and Uncle!
